Are you longing for the sweet taste of home-grown cherries but worried about space constraints? Our cordon cherry trees may be the answer to your fruity dreams. These slender, upright trees grow vertically, taking up minimal horizontal space while still producing bountiful harvests of luscious cherries.

Pomona Fruits’ range of cordon cherry trees are the perfect solution for those seeking the joys of cherry cultivation in limited spaces. Our columnar cherry trees are a testament to horticultural ingenuity, offering a compact and elegant way to grow these delectable fruits in even the most modest of gardens.

Cherries are an expensive luxury in the shops so it makes perfect sense to grow your own. In the past cherries were renowned for their excessive vigour, making them inappropriate for small gardens but with the use of modern dwarfing rootstocks that is no longer the case. Cordons should be restricted to 1.8-2.4m (6-8ft) in height and can be spaced 90cm (3ft) apart.

We offer a range of cherries that are suitable for smaller gardens throughout the UK. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot. To ensure rapid establishment, cordon cherry trees are supplied bare-rooted and will be approximately 1-1.2m (3-4ft) tall on despatch (including the roots). Trees are available from late November to late April.

We understand the challenges faced by urban gardeners and those with smaller outdoor areas. That’s why we offer a range of cordon cherry trees for sale that combine space-efficiency with impressive yields. From the popular ‘Stella’ to the weather-resistant ‘Summer Sun’, each variety has been chosen for its ability to thrive in British conditions.

Imagine picking plump, juicy cherries from your very own columnar cherry tree, mere steps from your back door. With options like the dark and delicious ‘Penny’ or the split-resistant ‘Cherokee’, you’re sure to find a columnar cherry tree that suits your taste and garden requirements.

Our cordon cherry trees are not just about practicality; they’re also a stunning addition to any landscape. Picture a row of these elegant trees lining a path or adorning a patio, their pretty white blossom heralding spring and their fruits bringing summer sweetness.

We’re here to guide you through every step of your cherry growing journey. Whether you’re concerned about pollination, curious about pruning techniques, or simply want advice on which variety to choose, our team of experts is at your service.

Don’t let limited space deprive you of the pleasure of growing your own cherries. Explore our range of cordon cherry trees and take the first step towards a fruitful future. With Pomona Fruits, your dream of a productive and beautiful garden is within reach, no matter the size of your outdoor space.

Don’t forget to include tree stakes and ties on your order. All young fruit trees require staking and for better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).
