Whether you’re a fruit enthusiast or a novice gardener, our impressive range of UK grown pear trees will surely delight your senses and enhance your garden.

Pear trees, like apple trees, are easy to grow and suffer with very few problems. We offer a range of delicious varieties that are grafted onto Quince ‘A’ semi-dwarfing rootstock to promote fruit production from an early age. This will produce a tree of medium vigour that is easy to pick and control. Bush pear trees will grow 2.4-3.6m (8-12ft) in height and spread. Choose a sunny, sheltered site. Unless otherwise stated, pears are supplied as two year old bare root trees and will be 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) high on despatch (including the roots). If you require one year old maiden trees for training as an espalier or fan, please advise us when ordering. Trees are available from late November to late April.

Are you longing for the satisfaction of harvesting fresh, juicy pears from your very own tree? Look no further. Our UK grown pear trees offer a variety of options to suit every taste and garden size. From the classic ‘Conference’ to the delectable ‘Doyenne du Comice’, we have the perfect pear tree to make your horticultural dreams a reality.

Perhaps you’re concerned about limited space? Sibley’s Patio Pear ‘Conference’ and Sibley’s Patio Pear ‘Red Williams’ are both recommended for growing in pots. We also offer cordon pear trees (columnar trees) for where space is limited.

For those of you in cooler locations, the varieties ‘Conference’ and ‘Concorde’ are a good choice.

For something different, consider planting Asian Pears. These unique fruits, also known as Nashi Pears, offer a delightful blend of pear and apple characteristics. Asian Pears are prized for their crisp texture, juicy flesh, and sweet, mild flavour. They’re excellent eaten fresh, used in salads, or as a refreshing dessert. Many varieties boast attractive russet-coloured skin and can be stored for weeks in the fridge.

Worried about the complexities of pear tree care? Our expert team is here to guide you every step of the way. From planting to pruning, we’ll ensure you have all the knowledge you need to nurture your pear tree to fruition.

In many countries it is regarded as a dual-purpose variety but it requires a long hot summer for the sugars and flavour to develop and is therefore normally only suitable as a cooker when grown in the UK. It produces heavy crops of bright green apples with lighter flecking. The greenish-white flesh is coarse textured and juicy and has a sharp flavour that sweetens in storage. The fruits are perfect for pies and tarts as they retain their shape when cooked. They are also good added to salads as they are less likely to brown than other varieties. The tree is easy to grow and heavy cropping.Buy Now
