Delve into our large collection of grape vines. We understand the allure of cultivating your own grapes, whether for the sheer pleasure of harvesting sun-warmed fruit from the vine, crafting homemade wine, or simply enhancing your garden’s aesthetic appeal. We offer a range of grape vines for sale that cater to both the aspiring viticulturist and the seasoned gardener alike.

Grape vines have been grown in Britain since Roman times. They are very hardy plants that require only a small amount of space and can be planted along a south facing wall or fence or trained over an arch or pergola. They are decorative as well as productive and with the introduction of modern varieties it is now possible to plant grapes outside in most UK areas that can be used for eating fresh or making wine. Vines should be planted 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) apart. Unless otherwise stated, grapes are supplied in pots and are available throughout the year.

Are you hesitant about growing grapes in the UK’s climate, concerned they might not thrive? We are delighted to offer a range of grape vines specially selected for their hardiness and suitability to our often changeable weather. Varieties such as ‘Boskoop Glory’ are particularly well-adapted to cooler climates, ensuring your grape-growing endeavours are rewarded with bountiful harvests.

Perhaps you’re worried about the space a grapevine might require. While they can sprawl if left unchecked, with proper pruning and training, they can be adapted to various garden sizes and structures.

We recognise that the prospect of pruning and training grape vines can be daunting. Rest assured, we provide comprehensive guides on caring for your vines, from initial planting to annual maintenance.

Are you concerned about disease resistance? We understand the frustration of nurturing a plant only to see it succumb to common ailments. Many of our grape vines have been selected for their resistance to typical grape diseases. The variety ‘Phoenix’, for example, offers excellent resistance to both powdery and downy mildew, ensuring your vines remain healthy and productive.

Seedless grape varieties offer a range of options for British gardeners. ‘Lakemont’ produces golden fruits with a muscat flavour, ‘Suffolk Red’ yields sweet, juicy red grapes, and ‘Crimson Seedless’ offers pinkish-red fruits with a crisp texture. All three varieties can be grown outdoors in warm southern areas but require greenhouse cultivation in colder regions. These seedless grapes are known for their sweet taste and are ideal for eating fresh off the vine.

For those eager to explore the world of winemaking, we offer varieties specifically suited to this purpose. ‘Pinot Noir’ is a popular choice for home winemakers, producing grapes with the perfect balance of sugar and acidity for delightful sparkling white wine.

At Pomona Fruits, we’re passionate about helping you succeed in your grape-growing journey. That’s why every grape vine comes with detailed care instructions. From guidance on optimal planting locations to advice on pruning and training techniques, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

We also understand that waiting for your vine to establish can require patience. To ease this, we offer robust, well-developed grape vines for sale that will settle quickly into your garden, shortening the time to your first harvest.

Embrace the opportunity to grow your own grapes and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Browse our selection of grape vines today and let us help you choose the perfect variety for your needs.

Don’t forget to include a Gripple Wire Tensioning Kit on your order, the easy way to support grape vines. For better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).
