Discover Pomona Fruits’ fantastic range of kiwi plants. We understand the excitement and intrigue surrounding these exotic fruits, and we’re thrilled to offer you the opportunity to grow your own kiwi fruit plant right here in the UK. We have a range of kiwi plants for sale that are perfect for the adventurous gardener seeking to add a touch of the extraordinary to their outdoor space.

Kiwi fruit can be grown with ease in the UK provided they are grown against a south facing wall with maximum shelter from prevailing winds. They can crop very heavily outdoors in the south and are very useful for covering walls, fences and pergolas.

When the growing conditions are favourable it is possible to harvest up to 13.6kg (30lb) of fruit from a single vine when fully established. Kiwi fruit are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants and when picked fresh from the vine, the fruits are deliciously sweet and have a much higher nutrient content than imported fruits. The vines are vigorous and require plenty of space. They should be planted 3-4.5m (10-15ft) apart. Our kiwi fruit plants are container grown and are available for despatch throughout the year.

Are you hesitant about growing kiwi plants in the UK’s climate, concerned they might not thrive? We are delighted to offer kiwi plants for sale specifically chosen for their hardiness and suitability to our British weather.

Perhaps you’re worried about the space a kiwi plant might require. Whilst they can grow quite large if left unchecked, with proper pruning and training, kiwi plants can be managed to suit various garden sizes. Self-fertile varieties, such as ‘Jenny’, are perfect for smaller spaces, as you’ll only need one plant to produce fruit.

We recognise that the prospect of growing kiwi fruit might seem challenging, especially if you’re new to fruit cultivation. We therefore provide a comprehensive guide on caring for your kiwi plants, from initial planting to annual maintenance.

At Pomona Fruits, we’re passionate about helping you succeed in your fruit growing journey. That’s why every kiwi plant comes with detailed care instructions. From guidance on optimal planting locations to advice on pruning and training techniques, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Browse our selection of kiwi plants today, and let us help you choose the perfect variety for your needs. Whether you’re drawn to the self-fertile nature of ‘Jenny’, the large fruit that ‘Hayward’ produces, or the fuzzless skins of ‘Issai’, we have a kiwi plant that will become a cherished part of your garden for years to come.
