Vitis vinifera 'Fragola' (syn. 'Strawberry Vine')

This exciting new dessert grape produces deliciously sweet amber-red berries. Intense, rich flavour with a strong hint of strawberry. Easy to grow and very productive. Can be grown outdoors in most UK areas.

Season: late Sept.

Plant size: 3 litre pot.

Available for delivery: all year.

Grape vines have been grown in Britain since Roman times. They are very hardy plants that require only a small amount of space and can be planted along a south facing wall or fence or trained over an arch or pergola. They are decorative as well as productive and with the introduction of modern varieties it is now possible to plant grapes outside in most UK areas that can be used for eating fresh or making wine. Vines should be planted 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) apart. Unless otherwise stated, grapes are supplied in pots and are available throughout the year.

Don't forget to include a Gripple Wire Tensioning Kit on your order, the easy way to support grape vines.  For better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).
