Long Cane Raspberry 'Glen Ample' (6 canes)

Long Cane Raspberry 'Glen Ample' (6 canes) Code: RSP018

£30.95 30.9500 In Stock New

Rubus idaeus 'Glen Ample'

The UK’s most widely grown midseason raspberry producing very heavy yields of large, bright red fruits with good flavour. The canes are spine-free making picking more pleasurable.

Long cane raspberries are supplied with approximately 1.2m (4ft) of the previous season’s cane still attached so you can plant them and harvest your first crop from July onwards in the same growing season!  In order to maximise the crop in the first season, long cane plants are selected on the basis of cane height, thickness, root system and the number of pre-formed flower buds. For best results, plant early in the year in to ground that is well-drained and well-prepared.

Bred in the U.K.  RHS Award of Garden Merit  RHS Perfect for Pollinators

Season: Mid Summer (July).

Available for delivery: late November/December - late April.

Our hand graded raspberry canes are raised on selected sites in the UK, inspected by DEFRA for pests and diseases and certified under the Plant Health Propagation Scheme (PHPS). Raspberry canes are available from late November to late April.

Don't forget to include a Gripple Wire Tensioning Kit on your order, the easy way to support raspberry canes.  For better establishment we strongly advise using Rootgrow when planting (as recommended in RHS planting guidelines).
