Strawberry Plants 'Fenella' (12 plants) [STR015]

Evidence! I bought the strawberry plants in the spring. Delivered in a well designed container by courier. Very healthy looking plants. Delivery was set against the weather so ideal - delivered - unpacked - planted in troughs. Now, several months later the evidence. The fruits are the largest, sweetest strawberries I have ever had, or grown. Absolutely amazing. I have been growing strawberries in the ground for decades. 3 different varieties. This year I decided to build trees for 12 troughs after reading the professionals don't grow in the ground. In the ground I normally end up giving lots away, or making jam with the excess. This year (2024), a very poor yield. Why mention that? The Fenella plants went into troughs, same compost as the other plants. They produced fruits, some about 30mm long whilst the other varieties struggled to produce 20mm long. As it was the first year in the troughs I was very impressed. Bottom line: Excellent service from Pomona. Easy to use Website. Keen prices - and quality plants. The yield has been excellent even with the unusual weather conditions. Thoroughly recommend the firm and the strawberries.
